According to data provided by Iraqi energy officials, August crude oil shipments averaged approximately 2.34 million barrels per day (bpd). Independent vessel-tracking firms, including Vortexa and Kpler, have also indicated similar trends. Their estimates for Iraqi oil shipments in August fall within a range of 2.2 million bpd to 2.3 million bpd, aligning with the figures released by Iraqi sources. The rise in export volumes was supported by commercial strategies implemented by Iraq. The country offered discounts for crude oil loadings at its Basrah terminals located in the Persian Gulf. These pricing adjustments made Iraqi crude more attractive to buyers.
